Winter is on its way and with this in mind, the colder temperatures and increased risk of catching the flu or getting COVID mean now is the time to see your GP to get vaccinated. The flu vaccine is now free and works best in the first 3 months after it has been given, so getting to your GP as soon as possible to have this vaccine, plus the COVID booster, will give you maximum protection.

Now’s the time for COVID boosters and flu vaccines

 

It’s that time of year again, with winter approaching, where all participants who are at risk need to ensure they’ve had their flu vaccine, and that they’re also up to date with the COVID booster. This includes participants who have had a spinal injury, as their lung function will be compromised. The flu vaccine is now free and is most effective in the first 3 months of being administered. Therefore, for maximum protection, please encourage participants to book an appointment with their GP as soon as possible.
